Rosewood Hotels and Resorts’ first property in China will open in Beijing in October 2014. Coinciding with this exciting announcement, the Rosewood Hotel in London has just won the acclaimed Hotel of the Year award at the annual Virtuoso Travel Week conference in Las Vegas, elevating Rosewood Hotels and Resorts as an industry leader in the luxury hotel sector.

Rosewood Beijing is a 283-room ultra-luxurious hotel, located in a prime location within the central business centre of Chaoyang District in Beijing, located opposite the iconic CCTV Tower.

Guests to the hotel are greeted at the entrance by towering Sons of Dragon statues within a manicured foliage-filled courtyard. The entire internal decor and ambience evokes the sense of entering a private luxurious mansion within the city, exuding a feeling of comfort.

The exterior of the property boasts unique landscaped outdoor space and incorporates terraces, gardens and balconies leading into many of the public areas, which has been designed by Bangkok-based P Landscape, who are acclaimed for their resort landscaping.

The Rosewood Beijing will debut the first Rosewood Sense spa brand in Asia, featuring treatments that reflect the location’s cultural and natural environment. There are 11 treatment rooms in addition to the spa’s unique feature – five individual spa suites with their own balconies, each designed for indulgent overnight stays. The spa’s decor reflects the hotel’s exterior with soft tones of limestone, natural wood floors, stone walls and modern sculptures by Chinese artists, all creating a unique spa environment in Beijing.

Recreational facilities include an indoor swimming pool, surrounded by a display of works by the famous Chinese artist, Liyongfei, a floor-to-ceiling mirrored yoga studio and a gym filled with Technogym and cardio equipment. Running machines are equipped with Visioweb, enabling  guests to surf the net, play games and watch their own individual TV while working out.

Designed by Melbourne-based Bar Studio, this state-of-the-art property will offer amongst the largest guest rooms in the city, with a large proportion offering a maximum window aspect, enhanced by window seating. Natural finishes, accessories with subtle oriental overtones, spacious bathrooms and walk-in closets will complete the sophisticated yet home-like surroundings.

The magnificent pillarless grand ballroom features a large pre-function foyer for receptions and adjoins a beautiful outdoor courtyard area. There are also numerous options available for meetings and corporate functions, with each venue offering the latest state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment.

The hotel is home to some of the finest restaurants in Beijing, with a choice of six dining options, including traditional Chinese cuisine served at the exclusive House of Dynasties; the more casual Bistrot B, where guests can enjoy European and Asian inspired dishes; and the trendy Mei, serving tapas, sushi and cocktails, where drinks are served by an award-winning “mixologist”.
