Renli Su presents new collection for SS16

With the elegant Victorian era as her starting point, fashion designer Renli Su used a variety of the finest silk fabrics to create a collection that explores the use of colour while drawing inspiration from Mark Rothko’s paintings. According to the designer, Rothko’s work moody and dramatic, while other times it is simple and direct, seeking the mystery in human emotion.

Renli Su’s upcoming SS16 collection reflects the elegance, purity and sophistication that highlighted Britain during the Victorian Era, but is also translated into the contemporary standards that modern life demands.

At the same time, however, Su preserves the integrity of tradition by rejecting what she sees as meaningless designs that are based only on trends. The result includes a fine collection with earthy colours, unpretentious attitude and distinctive sartorial details inspired by the 19th century.
