NYC-BASED Prospect NY has released a limited edition capsule collection in collaboration with infamous artist Baron Von Fancy. His work notoriously bridges – and complicates – boundaries between street and luxury culture. In that vein, Prospect NY, which works with creatives to curate collections of shop-able items and wares according to their style and artistry, has put together a collection of homewares with Von Fancy’s deceivingly slapdash typographical trademark. Glass appreciates the fine materiality and construction of this hand knotted rug, designed by Von Fancy in collaboration with Prospect NY. Ironically and true to form, it reads You Can Walk All Over Me.
Black and white wools, wool pashmina and Chinese Mulberry silk make up the fabrics of the background and design, respective to the two colors it’s offered in – beige or black. The rug costs around £960 and is the ideal contribution to any irony-appreciating collector’s home.
