Singer-songwriter and poet PJ Harvey has announced that she’ll be returning in 2016 with the release of a new album with a short preview video.

The album was recorded at Somerset House as part of the Artangel Recording In Progress sessions which allowed audiences to watch PJ Harvey go through the recording process in the studio during her month-long residency there.

The new untitled album will be Harvey’s ninth album, working as a follow up to her previous success Let England Shake, which won the Mercury Prize award.

The new record is said to document her time in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington DC. It has been described as “a unique artistic journey”, and we get a preview of that journey in the video as we see PJ Harvey filmed in different foreign locations.
