PFW SS15: Chloé

Chloé took summer frills to the fore in Paris with the type of flourishing textures that Milan couldn’t get enough of this season. We are of course referring to the spirit of the seventies that has been doing its fair share of haunting of late, overcoming many collections with late onset hippie Bohemia. Amidst the Fleetwood Mace-sque marvels, crochet, billowing summer meadow sun-dresses and oversized sleeves with drawstrings aplenty was fully stocked up on the soft feminine Chloé is known for. This proposed no definite shift, but kept Chloé safely in the higher reaches of free-spirit luxury with no strain. In a comfortably earthy scheme of colourings, delicate embroidery merged with airy fabrics seamlessly in a testament to the quality craft the brand prides itself on.

Cast your eyes on this collection and in no time at all you’ll probably recognise that we haven’t been treated to a collection with such appropriate holiday-wear pieces all season before Chloé SS15 came along with this stuff. They are a house that doesn’t look past the seasons that should dictate what we wear, instead, taking its cues from the balmy nights that make crop-tops and cropped trousers the only thing to wear. Coming in at just under 40 looks, 39 to be exact, it doesn’t take much for Chloé to get their message across, it’s quality not quantity at this Maison.
