How did you become a model? And why?
I did work experience at Premier when I was 14 – just running errands and stuff like that. One day, they asked me to take some pictures and I got signed a couple of days later. A very exciting and overwhelming time.

Have you always wanted to be a model?
No, growing up I was always slim and people told me I should model but I never took it seriously. However, when I was seven, an illustration of mine was published in a book called When I Grow Up and I said I wanted to be a model. The law of attraction I guess.

Who are your heroes in life and in modelling?
My parents are my heroes. My mum is the epitome of a strong, independent woman and inspires me every day with her work ethic. My dad supports me in every single thing I do and motivates me to be my best self. In modelling, it would have to be none other than Naomi Campbell.

What is your present state of mind?
Right now, I feel like I’m finally starting to find myself which is an amazing feeling. Surrounding myself with only positive energy and people who support me has benefited me a lot.

What is your idea of happiness?
Being able to tell my mum that she can quit her job.

How would you like to be perceived by others?
As carefree.

If you were not a model, what would you be?
I’ve always wanted to be an actress and it’s still something I’d like to pursue but if not then maybe an air hostess.

What do you miss most when you’re travelling?
My family and my bed.

What is your favourite song or songs to walk to?
C Biz – The Game’s Mine. It will have you walking down the street like you rule the world.

What would you say is the biggest myth or misperception about being a model?
I think the most common misconception is that it isn’t a real job and rather a hobby. And that it’s easy which isn’t true at all. Modelling is a lot of hard work and is as real a job as any other.
