Miuccia Prada hosts Women’s Tales dinner in Venice

Venice is a good backdrop to any fashion event, more than simply “good” when the brand hosting said fashion event is Prada though. The grande dame herself Miuccia Prada harnessed all the power and allure the City of Light has to offer on Thursday to celebrate the launch of Miu Miu Women’s Tales with an intimate dinner that followed the special screening of two short movies, Spark and Light and Somebody, as part of the Venice Days festival.

Welcoming a number of cinema’s most significant figures as well as a host of the celebrity clientele that regularly rack up column inches in Miuccia’s designs, Venice’s most upscale dinner spot Ca’ Corner De La Regina was abuzz with celebrity activity, seating among others, actresses Dakota Fanning and Kirsten Dunst, directors So Yong Kim and Alejandro Gonzales Iñarritu with Maria Eladia Hagerman and fashion fixtures such as Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani. It was case in point that fashion and film make for a prosperous pairing, and in Venice last week, we got a glimpse of the best of the best of both unique worlds.
