MFW AW15: Moschino

Moschino AW15 show in Milan was a celebration of street-chic, modern, comfortable, relate-able coolness. After McDonalds and Barbie-girl motifs, Jeremy Scott finds inspiration in the street-style girl.

The laid-back collection incorporated tops matched with high-waist and baggy short trousers or dungarees and outerwear, puff coats in particular in vivid colors of electric blue, yellow, lawn green, orange, red and purple all mixed up to create a beautifully enorchestrated contrast.

Nostalgia for childhood was triggered when girly silhouettes teetered down the catwalk in sweatshirts and baseball shirts emblazoned with Looney Tunes characters. The boy-like style was enhanced by the gangsta-like hats, the back-bags, the hoodies and the faux fur coats. Little black dresses were juxtaposed with gold chains while the like an old stereo bag stole the show.

Ethereal gowns adorned with graffiti were the perfect way to complete the show and to trick the at times stilted formality for the rebellious but so charming street, laid-back style.
