LFW SS15: Mother of Pearl

This season Mother of Pearl expanded their sport-luxe aesthetic to include more sophisticated garments as well as launching their very first bag collection. Interacting strongly with the arts world, the collection is the outcome of the brand’s collaboration with painter Chris Moon to decorate the garments with stripes and brushstrokes.

Going from strength to strength, Mother of Pearl presented, for their first LFW show, oversized-sport shape vivid printed coats with embellishment collars, embroidered and plain in feminine shapes pencil skirts and blouses. Mainly pastel palette hues with pervasive pure white garments were juxtaposed with metallic floral and sleeve while the looks were taken off teamed with jewels by Alexis Bitter, kitten heels an printed leather clutches. Loyal to the brand’s sport-luxe ethos, oversized jackets, shirts dresses and ankle socks were also some of the highlights of the show.

Expanding beyond each previous season’s collection, the SS15 sportswear luxe show was a sleek-undeniably chic, ready-to-wear mixture with a dash of sport-relaxed elements.
