LFW SS15: Felder Felder

On Friday, German-born design duo and sisters Daniela and Annette Felder brought out a refreshingly playful but super hip Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Even after last year’s love of fringe and tribal patterns, we still cannot get enough of Western style, particularly when it is done so well.

This season Felder Felder was all about updated Western-inspired influences but implemented in a space cowgirl chic way, including short shorts in a range of fabrics, including blue metallic and perforated leathers, floaty blouses in cool florals and sheer monochromes. The collection was well accessorised with ridiculously cool cowboy boots by Jessie Western that differed with every look – the green ones win the day, perhaps, though gold and black snakeskin may win the day.

For a brand known for its grown-up girly girl fashion, particularly its preference for shorter silhouettes like the skater skirt, Felder Felder brought out a distinct edge this season with smartly tailored trousers and bright patterned separates that would be easy to mix and match. While the Felder Felder Spring/Summer 2015 collection won’t exactly have you running to watch Rio Bravo again, this collection will make more than one fashion lover rethink their opinion of literal Western style again.
