LFW AW14: Vivienne Westwood Red Label Collection

Dame Vivienne Westwood hosted a catwalk show during London Fashion Week to debut her AW 14 Red Label collection.  As ever, her collection did not fall short in the interesting and bold categories as look after look in bright colours and unique draping were presented.  Models featured Victorian make-up with red lips, rouged cheeks, and lots of contouring.

A key colour in the collection was red, sometimes used for full outfits or chosen as an accessory or accent piece.  Westwood’s signature draping and cuts were present in the looks presented which ranged from pantsuits to dresses and skirts cut short in length.

The funky punk brand ethos was reinforced with such details as triangle tights, chunky top hats, broad shouldered jackets, ruffles, bows and hearts.  Leathers and furs provided contrasting texture and were paired with lace up footwear, long elbow length gloves, heart shaped blazers and caged skirts.

At the end of the show, Dame Vivienne graced the catwalk and took a bow – arm in arm with her granddaughter.
