La Perla presents SS15 lingerie, nightwear and beachwear collection

La Perla SS15 collection plays with optical illusions and new techniques in the brand’s quest for innovative and stylish interpretations of couture.

Luxurious beachwear ranges from graphic and more classic bikinis and swimsuits that feature femininity and create a slimmer feminine figure with the three-dimensional hand-crafted pleats, irregular hand-crafted twists, laser cuts, layers of tulles, interwoven bands and unstructured lines mix ethnic touched with sartorial elegance.

Embroidery in golden thread reproduces the houndstooth motif that creates a chain effect which adds a flash of light; layering two types of thermally bonded microfibre creates the effect of snakeskin scales.

In terms of lingerie and nightwear, La Perla continues the winter collection motif redefining the style codes from lingerie to clothing. Bustiers, bodysuits and slips offer more than one style: the underwear element, the thrill of the nude look and the transformation into garments to be worn with skirts, jackets or trousers.

Tulle embroidery infused in Indian ink and the see-through effects evoke a vintage and oriental ribbing. The dialogue between different concepts is very intense as the romanticism of the floral motif and the delicate leaver lace is distinguished from the graphic lines, contours between the bra cups and transparent motifs. A highlight of the collection is the new bodysuits in tulle, so light as to be almost invisible, emphasising the embroidery, seen as calligraphy across the body.

Beyond a shadow of doubt, La Perla, once again, blurs the lines among underwear and outerwear offering a variety of fabrics and motifs in the shades of coral red, sky blue and petrol blue, as well as the classics: black, white and champagne.
