Kenzo AW14 campaign launched

Kenzo are being ever so good to us this season, not only have they treated us all to snazzy new images from their AW14 campaign this past week, but the new campaign video is something that must be seen to be believed. Working in collaboration with artists’ magazine Toiletpaper, Kenzo have turned the ordinary world upside down and twisted it inside out.

Models Guinevere Van Seenus and Robert McKinnon can be spotted scuttling through mirrors leading to different dimensions and toying with giant shimmering crystals in a technicolour funhouse that we wouldn’t mind joshing around it for an afternoon (via ed). Imagery is presented as “jarring cinematic scenarios” inspired by Lynchian codes according to Kenzo’s creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, describing the new aesthetic this season as “some of the emotions we experience when seeing his work”. The dynamic not-quite-right but oh-so-riveting ambience makes for the ultimate environment for the Parisian label’s AW collection, so check out the campaign in motion now, it really is one hell of a trip.
