Haute Couture Spring 2015: Elie Saab

Elie Saab is definitely referencing his past as a wedding gown designer with his Spring Couture collection. Every garment is dripping in feathers, embroidery, beading or lace, all done to an exquisite standard.

A large portion of the show is devoted to pale peachy toned dresses, or at the very least a small assortment of colours. Then an intense black dress with sheer panels breaks up the collection and leads into a slightly different direction, but still with the detail that connects the entire collection.

Most of the pieces are indeed dresses (who would expect otherwise?). All shapes and sizes with different neck and hemlines, all of which whisper with the whimsy of spring. Adorable short dresses that many women would sell their souls for to long elegant gowns that Oscar nominees will be clawing at each other for a chance to wear, all adding up to a spectacularly fairy tale collection.
