Harrods launches Baraboux bag range

In an exquisite section of Harrods, Ladurée hosted the launch of Baraboux bags by designer, Princess Reema Bandar Al Saud on Tuesday morning. Setting the scene with a noble feast the display took the form of a Christmas banquet, with spectrums of reds highlighting the vibrant colours of each clutch.

From malachite green to a subtle nude, the bags have been adapted to suit a variety of consumers, and in their latest croc form are exclusive to Harrods. The designer told Glass, “Harrods really is a melting pot for every nationality- so when you look at the collection we’re really trying to cater to the broad spectrum of the Harrods customer”. Previously available in snakeskin, the collection has expanded to crocodile, adding a touch of opulence.

They were designed with the aim of versatility, each bag can be personalised with alternative cuffs easing from Swarovski into matching croc. Adding a unique appeal to luxurious design, the interchanging cuffs add a sense of durability, with the same clutch being reworked time and time again to produce a different finish.

Featuring fold out compartments, the aim is to provide easy access for the on the go woman. “The idea behind the Reema bag is to be organised and efficient, but still very beautiful- one bag with many destinations, endless destinations in fact.” As a traveller herself, Reema was inspired to create a collection that could be glamorous yet practical. The divisions of the clutch allow the wearer to separate belongings, categorising each aspect of one’s life in a compact, portable space.
