Glass reviews the new Daniel Sandler Bronze & Glow collection

DANIEL Sandler – international make-up artist and creator of the Daniel Sandler Professional Finish Make-up line – is the name to know if you’re hunting for the perfect complexion-enhancing blush.

Have you spent the past few seasons letting your powder blush compacts gather dust as you paint or dab a natural flush onto your cheeks? You’re not alone. Fluid cheek colour – easy to use, with a dewy, natural finish – has become a make-up bag must-have, and there are many brands to choose from. But we think that Daniel Sandler’s original and ground-breaking creation – Watercolour™ Liquid Blush remains, although much imitated – still unsurpassed.

What makes Watercolour™ so special? You only need a drop of these formulations to get a soft radiant glow, but as they are so very flattering and easy to blend you can add more colour with no fear if you fancy more intensity. Watercolours work brilliantly on eyelids and lips as well as cheeks for a tone-on tone effect. The Watercolours are packaged in soft plastic bottles that are cute, practical, and easy to travel with. And of course, you can indulge your inner artist and mix different Watercolours together to create a shade that’s uniquely pleasing to you.

Glass tried the three new Daniel Sandler Watercolour™ shades that make up the recently released Bronze & Glow Collection: a holy trinity of natural, flattering colour that emulates an inner glow to enhance sunkissed skin.

Rose Glow Watercolour™ liquid blush
This peachy-pink shimmer gives radiance and freshness to the skin. Use it to show off your skin on the days you feel your best, and to fool the if you’re feeling dreadful. On paler skin, this product can create a beautiful tone-on-tone look; on darker skin it acts as an illuminator. A shade that beautifies in the chicest, most subtle of ways.

Golden Glow Watercolour™ liquid blush
This is a warm bronze colour in the bottle, that we assumed would be far too dark for pale skin. Actually, It’s a delight on a pale complexion – extremely subtle, it gives warmth to the face, brings out the cheekbones and makes blue eyes sparkle – although that last effect could just be the joy that a pallid girl feels on finding a bronze that works. On tanned and darker skin it will give a gorgeous sun-kissed glow – this is Bardot glam in a bottle.

Soft Bronze Watercolour™ crème rouge
Like the Golden Glow, this product looks dark in the compact, but on the skin reveals itself to be a clever and very wearable blend of pink-peach and bronze. For those that like the ease of applying makeup with the fingers, cream blush is a miracle product – and the texture of this one is perfect. It glides onto the skin, lends itself well to creating a sculptured look, and once you’re done blending, this won’t move. This bronze gives warmth without heaviness and looks sophisticated, natural and flattering on all skin tones.
