Glass reviews Murad Hydro-Glow Aqua Peel

WITH the skin’s natural hydration in mind, Murad designs products that have a different approach to beauty, one that promotes lifelong results rather than topical ones. The Hydro-Glow Aqua Peel is a recent addition to their fast-growing skincare empire and fits perfectly with Step 2, Treat and Repair, of their 3 Steps to Beautiful Skin approach. Clinical results show a 400 per cent boost in hydration for a youthful glow so I was excited to put it to the test.

Murad Hydro-Glow Aqua Peel

As someone who has never tried acid peels, I was interested to see how this unique two-step gentle peel system would react on my sensitive skin. Step one entails swiping the retexturising swab, pre-soaked with a blend of lactic and glycolic acids and botanical extracts, over the clean face. Step 2 is the moisture infusion mask, containing aloe extract and vitamin B3 to soothe and nourish skin, that you leave on for 15-20 minutes and then remove and pat in any excess. Despite my concerns, I was pleasantly surprised to see the retexturising swab had tightened my pores and the mask had soothed and repaired my dry skin.

The Murad Hydro-Glow Aqua Peel is a fresh and fun take on exfoliation. I really enjoyed the whole process and loved the 15-20 minute wait time because it encouraged me to relax and declutter my busy mind. My skin was left plump and smooth, and glowed for two days afterwards. Even my boyfriend commented on my brighter complexion – and that’s saying something considering the fact he rarely even notices when I get a haircut. I’ve already recommended the product to several friends.
