Glass previews Afropunk festival taking place in London this weekend

AFROPUNK festival will return to London for its second year, after its successful debut at Alexandra Palace last year. This year the festival will take place in South London’s new 5,000 capacity multi-arts venue Printworks, hosting a larger lineup and additional festival perks such as food stalls, art and shops across the span of two days.

This years line-up will host performances from The Internet, Lianne La Havas, Nao, grime king JME, Thundercat, Danny Brown and a special showcase from Willow Smith. In addition to the live music running throughout the day, there will also be DJ sets from Gal Dem, Blacktronica and Hannah Faith.

Afropunk is dominating the festival scene as it is fast spreading across the globe after its initial beginnings in New York. Now, it hosts festivals in major cities such as London, Paris, Atlanta and Johannesburg bringing together talented musicians and celebrating black diversity.
