Haute Couture, Spring/Summer 1947, Corolle Line Photo © Laziz Hamani, Victoria and Albert Museum, London Opening in February 2019, Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams will trace the history of Dior from 1947 to the present day, exploring the House’s origins as well as its development under the six artistic directors who have followed in the footsteps of the eminent couturier. The exhibition will showcase over 500 objects including pieces from the Dior archives and the V&A’s own extensive Couture collections. Unique garments will be displayed alongside accessories, fashion photography, film, perfume, make-up, illustrations, magazines, and Christian Dior’s personal possessions.
