After a night of over-indulgence and very little sleep, the delicate skin around your eyes is bound to suffer. So before you slip on your silk eye mask to banish the sun's vindictive rays, dabbing on a quality eye cream is a must. Happily, help is at hand in the very glamorous form of Carol Joy whom Glass met last week to celebrate the launch of her two new eye creams for men and women: IV His and Her Eyes Only.
Both fragrance-free creams contain Carol Joy's flagship ingredient: Golden Millet Oil, known for boosting skin cell regeneration and increasing hydration levels, which Joy settled upon after scouring the globe to find effective ingredients. The men's eye cream contains caffeine complexes to reduce inflammation and puffiness, while the ladies are treated to diamond dust in their version which reflects natural light and helps to reduce dark circles (it seems those sparkly rocks truly are a girl's best friend...) The cream absorbs instantly and after a week of using it day and night, I've noticed a tangible difference in firmness around the eye area. Joy indeed.
Accompanying the launch is the new treatment: For Your Eyes Only - a 35 minute 'facial' for the eyes which involves application of Rose Absolute Essential Oil to relax the mind, an in-depth eye-contour massage with jade rollers and a pure-plant collagen eye-mask, leaving your peepers well and truly pampered.
Carol Joy IV His Eyes Only is £68 for 15ml, Carol Joy IV Her Eyes Only is £89 for 15ml. The 'For Your Eyes Only' Treatment is £65 for 35 minutes. All are available exclusively at The Dorchester Spa, Lower Ground Floor, The Dorchester, Park Lane, London W1K 1QA / +44 20 7629 8888.
