The British Fashion Council (BFC) announced that Gareth Pugh, House of Holland and Jean-Pierre Braganza had received funding to create their own fashion films to be displayed at London Fashion Week.

For the first time, the films will be shown at a special breakfast screening open to the public during London Fashion Week. River Island is the sponsor of the BFC’s Fashion Film Initiative, which helps to support designers who wish to use film to showcase themselves. River Island is working with Jean-Pierre Braganza and Google Cardboard this year in order to create a different film experience all together. Google Cardboard allows the viewer to experience more of a virtual reality, something new for Fashion Film.

Since its immersion in February 2012, Fashion Film has helped dozens of designers to work with famed directors and producers to give the world of Fashion Film a more refined edge and create better quality films that allow brands more contact with their consumers. Seems to be working so far.
