Barbour opens first motorcycle heritage store on Piccadilly, London

Barbour has just opened its doors to the first Barbour International store, celebrating the brand’s motorcycle heritage. Set over two floors, the new store will stock technical motorcycle clothing alongside contemporary biker fashion styles in addition to knitwear, trousers, footwear and accessories for both men and women.

Guests at the launch party enjoyed music by the Vaccines and were treated to an audience with honorary guests including Barbour’s Dame Margaret (company chairman and fourth generation of the Barbour family) and 15 time gold medallists ISDT bikers Johnny Giles and Johnny Brittain.

Revellers also mingled with VIP guests including Jo Whiley, Lilah Parsons, Paul Sculfor, Henry Conway, Olivia Halllinan, Kara Rose, Olympic rower Alex Gregory and Suzy Taylor.

The store interior is a reflection of the brands motorcycle heritage, which dates back to the early 1930s when Duncan Barbour (third generation member of the Barbour family and bike enthusiast) dressed the British ISDT teams for a number of years. This is the first ever store dedicated to its motorcycling heritage.
