Art from the heart. The British Heart Foundation celebrates World Heart Day

THE British Heart Foundation celebrates World Heart Day today by reaching out to the creative industry, encouraging them create work that expresses “their own interpretation of a heart”. With collaborators including Duggie Fields, Tom Dixon, Daisy de Villeneuve and Robert Sheehan, the charity project is set for global recognition and  will include a range of art forms including photographic, painted and hand-drawn images.

These art pieces will be shared upon social media sites on world heart day along with the hashtag #heartforaheart. This is intended to be the biggest social media charity campaign ever and will also be featured in an online exhibition. The microsite will not only display the more well-known names’ version of heart art online; these will be featured alongside public contributions. The art will be personal to each individual as the British Heart Houndation encourages the word “heart” to be used in any context that the the creator wants to express it through.
