Alfresco dining encouraged by Reiko Kaneko

Since establishing her design studio in 2007, British-Japanese designer Reiko Kaneko has created tableware in simple elegant forms produced in English fine bone china.  Only five years in and she’s carved a niche for herself in classic shapes – in a clear nod to her Japanese heritage – combined with the craftsmanship inherent in English ceramics.

Since moving from London to Stoke-on-Trent – the home of pottery and fine bone china – Reiko Kaneko has produced her most recent collection that’s reminiscent of traditional Japanese pottery and finished simply either with a translucent clear or pastel glaze. More modest than her earlier work, this new assembly still sings her signature ethereal vibe, but will inject demure heights to any table this Spring/Summer.
